Frequently Asked Questions
Our developers are fluent in tools such as WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and more. Instead of specialising in one specific web building technology, our starting point is understanding what you want from your new website and what your budget is. Within that framework, we put together the best technical design and clear it with you, before we start developing.
This depends on what the project involves, but we will usually be able to do a standard website in a month. Sometimes even quicker!
We are happy to support you and your site on an ongoing basis. Some businesses want this on an ad hoc basis while others want it on an ongoing basis. Whichever one you want, we can put together a support agreement that gives you the support you want.
Absolutely yes. If you want any part of your marketing and branding to be updated at the same time as your new website is being built, we work with some very talented graphical designers who can help with that. Anything from a tweak to your logo to a full rebrand is possible
We build your site in a way that makes it as accessible as possible for search engines to scan.
The text for the website is often written by you, but we can help with this if you want. If you want to manage your own SEO, we can guide and assist you in developing the text for the website. And if you would like us to do it for you, we can help you with SEO both on a short-term and long-term basis.
On-site SEO is when you make changes to the backend of your website in order to increase its ranking on search engines. That can be things like changing the text on your website, to increase your keyword density. It can also mean changing headlines, adding tags to images and videos, along with a long list of other changes.
Off-site SEO is the kind of optimisation that happens away from your actual website. This can be things like backlinks and citations.
Our SEO-team does both on-site and off-site SEO. So you can either use us for a short, concentrated optimisation project, or on a longer term basis where we manage your ranking over time.
If you have new ideas or new designs emerge as the project progresses, then we discuss those. We will always do our best to fit your new ideas into the technological foundation that has already been made for your site. If your idea is radically different than what we have discussed at the start and requires the technological side to be built completely differently, then there may be an additional charge for adjusting your site to it.
No. If you want us to help setting up hosting for you we can of course do this. But if you already have a hosting location or you have a preference in mind, then you are more than welcome to use this. You just give us access to your hosting during the time we are building your website and once we have delivered, you simply remove our access again.
We specialise in websites for small and medium-sized businesses. That means we want to make it as easy for you as possible. Your single point of contact will be Martin and he will liaise with the technical developers who work on your new website. If there are technical decisions that are part of the project, then Martin will talk you through the pros and cons of each choice, so that you can make an informed decision.
